Soup is a food that is made by combining ingredients such as meat and vegetables in stock or hot boiling water, until the flavor is extracted, forming a broth. Many forms of cooking remove the essential nutrients from vegetables, but soups retain most of the essential vitamins and mineral and make a nourishing and healthy meal. Join Denay as she prepares a savory Creole Gumbo and shares why soup is making a serious comeback as an American Staple.
